Talking Cafés across Nelson Tasman are about meeting people and learning more about your community. Everyone is welcome. No need to register. Just turn up!

The last cafe for the month of April is on Wednesday 22nd April 1.30-3.00pm at Halifax Café at 28 Halifax Street, Nelson. See notes below for changes to June onwards.

Volunteer Nelson has made some changes to the Wellby Talking Cafes from June 2026 onwards. There will no longer be a Halifax cafe and the Cafes in Richmond and Stoke will change to the 4th Wednesday of the month.

  • Talking Cafés are held in a number of locations, right across the Nelson Tasman region.

  • It’s a great chance to talk face-to-face with people and find out what they’re looking for.

  • Everyone is welcome, and the cafes provide a great opportunity for making connections.
